Our Love Story

We can't ever seem to figure what year we met. I'm guessing around 2008/ 2009 perhaps?
This is the love of my life.

It all began during volleyball. Our mutual friends would get together and play in the sand pits at a local park. Before I met him, my very good friend Danielle warned me: he's a smart-aleck, you two probably won't get along. I wasn't excited about meeting this guy, although I loved his sister, Mari whom I played high school volleyball with.
Needless to say, we met. Thankfully he wasn't a smart-aleck to me, but to mostly everybody else. Years went by and we were only friends. I dated a few toads and was finally happily single in summer of 2010. I signed a lease for September 1st, 2010 in Atlanta, GA to follow my dreams of becoming a flight attendant. One big problem: I had Chino, my pup. I didn't want to just give him away to anybody, so Craig agreed to give him a good home since he recently bought a house and would be moving in around October. PERFECT.
A few weeks into August, Craig came to meet Chino. Talk about love at first sight for those two. The next few days, Craig kept coming over to visit Chino. One night I remember we stayed up until 4:30 am watching t.v., laughing and chatting until we realized what time it was. We were pretty much inseparable after that.
He helped move me to Atlanta along with my dad's help. 8 hours later, I was "home". Moving to a big city, all alone, was never a plan of mine, but I knew I could do it.
This was the song Craig heard on the radio during our 8 hour drive to the big city, while I was laying on his pillow, napping in the truck. It became our song.

After about 2 months of living on my own, I couldn't stand it anymore. I called him one day and said "Craig I'm coming home, and I'm moving into your new place with you." Talk about ballsy, huh? Oddly enough, it didn't seem wrong. So that's what I did. I packed up my tiny apartment and moved home.. well, to Craig's home :)
I laugh when people say "oh, you should wait a certain amount of months or years before you move in with someone else" because after just a few months, we were under the same roof. Three years later, here we are.

We did a lot of traveling once I finally got my flight attendant job. Jamaica, Canada, Mexico, Michigan, Vegas, the Dominican Republic.. sometimes I forget all the places we've been.
We do love spending time at home though, and eating whatever I whip up that night. He's awesome; the guy will eat anything I put on a platter in front of him. (AND always "loves it".) We enjoy hunting and fishing and watching movies. Yes, we hunt to eat. There's nothing cruel about it.

Since quitting my FA job, I'm such a happier person. Being home every day is such a blessing in disguise. I cannot wait to get my career of being an OTA going and I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us in the future.

Anywho, we will be getting married one day (for those of you always asking when when when!). We both started school again so we're taking it day by day, getting through these tests and finals. Until then, we are enjoying each other and having fun with our doggie, traveling, and seeing the world together.
