About Me

I am 24 years young, living in sunny and hot south Florida. I became a flight attendant in March, 2011 and quit a short year and a half later in November, 2012.  I thought flight attending would be my forever but after the first year, I had a change of heart. I can go on and on about why I quit, but I like to look at the positive side of things and say I am much happier now that I am home every night, not living out of a lunchbox and suitcase, and knowing I won't be disturbed in the middle of the night from schedulers demanding I be at the airport at a certain time. One truly does not realize how important it is to be able to be home every night and have dinner with their family, until it's no longer possible. Home is very much where my heart is. School has become my present time focus. I am studying to become an occupational therapist assistant. After being out of school for 6 years, I thought it would be impossible to get back into the groove of school, but I am happy to announce my 3.3 GPA as of today.

I like to consider my puppy (who isn't actually a puppy anymore) as my baby. He will be 4 soon and is my absolute everything. I could not have been blessed with a better best friend. This dog will seriously lounge around all day. Sometimes I have to remind him he needs to go out and go to the bathroom. As soon as he hears the word Frisbee though, he is bouncing around like a maniac. Although he has a little problem with his eye/mouth coordination, he will not give up playing until the sun goes down. Then, he's back to napping.

My mom is my best friend. She is in Nashville, TN. We speak almost every day on the phone, even if it's just sitting there, not even talking. She keeps my feet on the ground and can always cheer up my day. I get to see her a few times a year and I'm so thankful for it.

Dad and his new wife Susan live a few miles from our home and we try getting together at least once a week. My dad and Susan are some of the best cooks I know (besides dad's mom, Grammy). I like to think I picked up her gene as well ;)

Kyle, my brother, lives in Nashville also. I do have to say him and I have both come a long way through life, but have always gotten up from our falls. I'm proud to be his sister and proud of how much closer the two of us have gotten.

My boyfriend, Craig, and I have been together for almost three years now. We'll have a different sappy section in the blog if you care to check it out :)
