My Summer Hydrangea Wreath

YAY so this is my first (but not last) wreath.
I picked up all the supplies from Walmart (although I hate that store) for no more than $7 and took me no more than 15 minutes to make!
I picked off the flowers from the bunch they came on and stuck them between the sticks on the wreath.
I love how it turned out!

Please excuse the boyfriend's shoes :)
Thanks for checking it out!
Stay tuned for my landscaping process that will be coming slowly but surely.

Coconut Hair Treatment

I just picked this stuff the other day from Walgreens and I can't get enough of it!
The smell is amazing and makes my hands feel super soft.
I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try it on my locks.
I kept my hair in a ponytail from work.

I added a little bit at a time, working the oil into the ends of my hair and up to my hair tie.

Wrap it up in a bun and leave it for a few hours. Time to do some homework :)

I washed the oil out after a few hours and let it air dry as I went to bed. I styled it in the morning and it was silky and soft :) This will for sure be a weekly ritual.

Healthy version of Ruby Tuesday's Chicken Fresco

Healthy version of Ruby Tuesday's Chicken Fresco.

Ruby Tuesday's dish: Chicken Fresco.
Grilled chicken, lemon butter, balsamic dressing, fresh tomatoes.

My version:
Baked chicken, lemon Greek yogurt, Greek dressing, fresh tomatoes.

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. chicken breasts (I used the thin cut)
  • 1 tomato (sliced)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. Greek vinaigrette (or balsamic if you choose, Italian, etc..)

Spray your pan, align chicken, sprinkle salt, pepper and paprika. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

While oven is preheating, prepare your lemon yogurt. 2 tsp. lemon juice.

2 tsp. Greek yogurt.

Cook chicken with only seasonings on it for 15 mins at 350 degrees.
(Do not turn off the oven once the 15 mins is up. You will be using it again.)

wa-lah. Baked chickies.

Spread your lemon yogurt onto the baked chicken.

Pop those suckers back into the oven which is still at 350 degrees, this time for 8 mins.

Once the 8 mins is up, keep the oven on again :) you need it ONE more time.
Spread Greek dressing on top of yogurt.

And your tomato slices.

Back into the oven they go! 5 more mins.

YUUMMM

Serve with your favorite veggies. I made twice baked potatoes and green beans.

I hope you enjoyed!

Sour Patch Kids Grapes

MY NIKON D60 ARRIVED <3<3<3
I will finally have some better pictures (thank you honey)
These were a few pictures from the other day playing with Chino. His favorite game is Frisbee. There he is, panting all over the place. The boy doesn't know his limit. He will come into the house and douse the floors with saliva. It's a new spin on spit shining our floors.

I finally tried the "Sour Patch Kids Grapes". I have to admit, they were delicious. Although I bought the "sugar-free" type, I still don't recommend eating a big batch of this in one sitting. Yes, the fruit part may be good for you, but something about "sugar free" and "jello" being in the same sentence has me say "Hmmmmm....?"

I've read PLENTY of blogs on this, so NO I AM NOT THE BRAINS BEHIND IT. ahem.
I bought a batch of grapes, lime jello and that's a wrap.
Oh I also picked up a strawberry banana, since who doesn't like strawberry and banana, but I wasn't as big of a fan of it as I was the lime.

Rinse your grapes, and put them into a container or bowl.

Sprinkle in 1/4 of the package and toss the grapes around.

Cool color huh?

You can see the pink where I did the strawberry. I found it too sweet this way. Anyway, for a $3 snack, you can't beat it.

Here's the cameraaaaa :D
.. AND the new bangs.

xoxo

Easy Banana Cream Crunch

Hands down, one of our favorite desserts is banana pudding. I love how easy it is to make and how you can add fresh bananas to the mixture to give it a fresh, "homemade" flare.

Ingredients:

-Pudding-
  • 1 package banana pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk (this is what the package calls to make the pudding)
-Banana Topping-
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 ripe banana
-Additional ingredients-
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • 4 dollops cool whip topping

This is the only way I can get my boyfriend to even put a wine glass in his hand, is if there's food in it. (he is NOT a wine fan)

Prepare the pudding mix by adding the milk to it and whisking.

For the banana topping...

Add the butter to a sauce pan on low heat.
(lol this butter has lasted probably over two years in our fridge. I RARELY add butter to any recipe.)

Add the brown sugar.

Chop up your banana. Add to the pan. Stir for 2 minutes until the butter has melted and the ingredients are mixed. It's okay if the banana gets mushy.

Place 1/4 cup granola at the bottom of the wine glass.

Layer the pudding.

More granola.

More pudding.

Add the banana topping mixture.

Put a few dollops of cool whip on top and garnish with a banana piece :)

ooOOoOoo <3
